...is rhythmic!

Soft Tumba is Ambient and Tribal Ambient soundscapes composed to encourage relaxation and contemplation. This music was inspired by new music artists such as Wendy Carlos, Steve Reich, Steve Roach, Robert Rich, as well as traditional African and Latin percussive forms, and music from India. Stirring things up in the background once in a while is the freedom of Jazz.

One aspiration of Soft Tumba is to support you in exploring that which is timeless and ancient in all of us. An ambition is that this music simply helps you chill.

The first compositions were written several years ago as a Christmas present for a friend who was a massage therapist. Later they were--and continue to be--used to provide a quiet atmosphere for my office environment.

My hope is that you enjoy this and that it facilitates meditation or yoga, work or play, or any quiet activity where you desire an atmosphere that contributes to your life. (Maybe you might even dance once in a while.)

...Your heart, the leaves in the trees, a dying and birthing breath, clouds forming and evaporating in the sky. Even chaos theory has a rhythm.... The world is rhythmic! Shh... Listen.
